Two usesThis top plate can be attached directly to the original FX3 XLR unit and is also compatible with SmallRig MD3490. It can be mounted on top of the FX3 XLR unit and includes an adapter that allows you to attach it to the SmallRig FX3 Top Handle Extension (ID: SmallRig MD3490) with a 3/8″-16 thread

Multiple mounting points: The 3990 plate is also equipped with several 1/4″-20 threaded holes and an integrated cold shoe holder for attaching other devices such as microphone, LED light, etc.

Cushioning to protect equipment: It fits perfectly on the top of the FX3 XLR handle with built-in cushions for full protection
