Our high-grade carrier oils are derived from the fatty portion of a plant, usually from the seeds, kernels or nuts. Some carrier oils are odorless, but generally speaking, most have a faintly sweet, nutty aroma. Suitable for all aromatherapy, massage and cosmetic applications.
Botanical Name: Helianthus Annuus
Aromatherapy Uses: Sunflower oil has a light texture and is pleasant to use. It contains vitamins A, C, D, and E, a high linoleic and oleic acid content, and few saturated fatty acids. This oil is easily absorbed and can be used on all skin types. Its high vitamin E content makes it especially helpful for delicate and dry skin. It has a protective effect on the skin and is healing when applied to leg ulcers, bruises and skin diseases.
Keeps well when stored properly (in a cool place (under 77 degrees F) and away from sunlight).
