Description
Pancreatin is an extract of the pancreas that contains pancreatic enzymes. It breaks down proteins, carbohydrates and fats, and is used as a digestive aid in cases of removal of the pancreas or pancreatic insufficiency, cystic fibrosis, gastrectomy and steatorrhea (increased excretion of fat in the stool due to poor intestinal absorption).
